Stambulican Kesper (K)

Stambulic is an industrial-based country covered almost entirely by dense urban sprawl. Founded in 1156 by the famous explorer Gossamer Lan, it remained isolated from the world in its self-contained cityscape, until 1541, when a rapid growth in population forced Stambulic to open its borders to other nations in the hope of forming trade routes.

There are several major companies vying for economic monopoly in Stambulic, the main ones being Magellanic UltraCorp (MUC), Vevranaran Suns Ltd. (VSL), and Serewot Systems National (SSN). Although technically a peaceful nation, Stambulic is plagued with civil insurrection and sporadic guerilla warfare.

Although in fact one huge interconnected city, Stambulic is divided into Sectors, each controlled by a company. There are a variety of different 'cities' within Sectors, however in reality these are nothing more than defined areas within the all-encompassing city-country. Within Sectors there is peace, but the borders are unforgiving places, patrolled around the clock by soldiers and strewn with mines and snipers. Each citizen of Stambulic belongs to a Sector, and travel between Sectors is strongly discouraged. Only convoys bringing supplies are allowed through specially designed access points, and these are checked thoroughly for any potential threats.
